Course description

Course overview

This course provides an in-depth exploration of network security architecture and secure cloud infrastructure design. Students will learn the principles and technologies used to safeguard network systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and secure VPN configurations. The course also covers cloud computing security, virtualization, and hybrid infrastructure management, integrating industry standards and practical labs in network defense and cloud service protection.

Course content is presented for institutional review and remains subject to approval and revision.

Academic focus

Course objectives

  1. 01

Understand network architecture, protocols, and vulnerabilities within enterprise systems.

  2. 02

Implement secure network configurations, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.

  3. 03

Apply principles of cloud infrastructure security across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.

  4. 04

Analyze and evaluate hybrid and multi-cloud architectures for risk and compliance.
